- Martin Baker Review added: 2018.11.29★ ★ ★ ★ ☆We stayed for two nights with two adults and two children under 5 over a HOT weekend in June 17. The welcome you get from the staff there is great and they show you right to your pitch and give you a quick overview on facilities. I went and asked for some local information a few times and got nothing but all the help I needed. The site is very well looked after, very clean, the showers and toilets are immaculate, and it's great to have the family shower room too. The site was busy but it didn't matter as everybody was well behaved and the kids made friends easily enough.
Conkers discovery centre is well worth the £20 family entrance fee, and it's only 15 minutes walk through lovely woodland with wild strawberries growing if you look carefully. The kids loved it.
My only criticisms would be that i would prefer a better onsite shop but there is a co-op a short drive away, and that the campsite is relatively expensive when compared to its competitors, but i feel it is worth the money anyway.
